Our Pain Treatment Services and Injury Clinic are different. We emphasize the connection between physical and mental health for better outcomes. We use advanced reporting methods to inform you of your progress and help you improve your function and get relief faster. Our methods focus on safe, effective ways to help you improve your quality of life, whether through prescription medication, targeted mental health support, or advanced interventional procedures.

At KindlyMD, we are committed to offering safe and effective advanced pain relief options. In light of the opioid crisis, our approach incorporates better assessments with functional behavioral healthcare alongside medication and procedure management, creating a balanced approach to pain that prioritizes your long-term improvement.

Our team carefully monitors all prescription painkillers to ensure they are used safely and effectively, helping you achieve relief while minimizing dependency. More than half of our patients reduce opioid use while improving pain scores.

We Offer Support For:

  • Acute pain and injury treatment
  • Long-term pain management for chronic conditions
  • Post-surgical pain care
We focus on accelerating functional improvement through integrating mental and physical factors. We offer personalized, comprehensive pain care to help you live more comfortably and confidently.

Alternative Pain Relief

At KindlyMD, we understand that alternative treatments can be powerful tools for pain management. As many as 88% of our patients report that our care has helped them reduce or eliminate their reliance on traditional painkillers.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pain Treatment

Do opioids work for long-term pain treatment?

No, studies show that long-term opioid use can lead to Opioid-induced Hyperalgesia (OIH). This is when opioids are no longer helping the pain but can be making the pain worse, and the patient gets more sensitive to pain in other areas. KindlyMD providers are experts in alternative treatments and interventions to help you reduce opioid use while still improving function.

Does KindlyMD drug test patients on pain pills?

KindlyMD does not provide medication-assisted treatments (MAT) such as Methadone. If a patient requires MAT for substance use disorder, our providers can offer guidance and refer them to an appropriate specialist or facility that offers these services.

Can I have a Med Card if I’m already taking pain pills?

Absolutely! Our providers are trained to integrate alternative treatments, such as Medical Cannabis or Ketamine, with traditional pain medications. If you and your care team decide this is the best option, we’ll guide you through safe, compliant use within a data-driven, patient-first care plan tailored to improve your outcomes. KindlyMD is the only organization in Utah offering this level of treatment flexibility, combining prescriptions, mental health, and alternative medicine.

I feel judged and “less than” each time I go to my current pain clinic. How is KindlyMD any different?

This feeling is exactly why we started KindlyMD. Here, you are a person—not just a condition. Our patient-first approach combines prescriptions, mental health support, and alternative medicine in data-driven, flexible care plans designed to meet your unique needs. We are the only organization in Utah offering this level of individualized, judgment-free care. Your KindlyMD team is here to listen, understand, and help you find real relief. Schedule an appointment today to experience the difference.

Does KindlyMD provide substance use disorder (SUD) or opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment?

KindlyMD provides integrated behavioral health services, including limited primary care, mental health support, and Medical Cannabis recommendations. However, we are not a substance use disorder (SUD) or opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment facility and do not advertise or function as one. We do not offer detox programs or specialized addiction treatment, but we can refer patients to appropriately licensed providers when necessary.

Our role in managing controlled substances is limited to supporting patients with existing prescriptions, with an emphasis on responsible tapering strategies under our providers’ DEA-licensed scope of practice. In some cases, cannabis may be considered as an alternative to certain medications that carry withdrawal symptoms when discontinued. However, we do not use or promote cannabis as a treatment for addiction or substance use disorder.

Because we do not provide addiction treatment services, we are not classified as an SUD or OUD treatment facility, nor do we require a specific license for these programs.
